PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Super Duper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gel Parsley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Duper gets a clinch.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Parsley must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Parsley doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Duper counters with a left to the body.
Duper will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Duper changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Parsley looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Parsley is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Duper's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Parsley is trying to control Duper's posture but Duper avoids it.

Duper working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Duper closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Parsley is staying active underneath Duper, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Duper is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Parsley is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Duper is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Parsley tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Duper has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Super Duper overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Duper connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Parsley's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Parsley wants to control but Duper is having none of it.

Super Duper showed his dominance in that final round.
