Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Big JOE!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morris dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on JOE. That did some damage!
Morris keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Morris misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Morris shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
JOE is trying to stand up here but Morris is controlling him well.
JOE is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Morris scores with a couple of nice shots.
Morris lands strikes from half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
JOE is not content to let Morris control the position.
Morris winds up and cracks JOE with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Morris is pressing down on JOE's thigh, looking to free his foot. JOE is holding on for now.
JOE should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Morris looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks JOE with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Morris is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Morris landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Morris tries to score a power double leg takedown but JOE sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Morris somewhat.

JOE goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
JOE stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and JOE wants it to stay on the feet.

and Morris counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Morris throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. JOE was covering up waiting for the punch and Morris finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Morris postures up in JOE's guard and throws a big left but JOE blocks it.
Terry Morris overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Morris is looking to work some ground and pound but JOE has wrist control.
Morris working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of JOE's head.
Morris lands a couple of decent looking shots.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
JOE has momentary wrist control but Morris slips an elbow through the middle.
JOE can't keep his opponent in guard - Morris advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
JOE tries to kick Morris off but Morris keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Horrible takedown by Morris or perhaps it was just good defense by JOE which made him look bad.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Morris is defended easily by JOE.

and Morris makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt.

Morris cracks JOE with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Morris cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Well Morris has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
