Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tito Butt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Czeslaw Kowalsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tito Butt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Czeslaw Kowalsky!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Leandro Rodrigues and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Butt closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kowalsky circles away.
Kowalsky stuffs the takedown attempt from Butt. Butt gets slowly back to his feet.
Butt scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Butt slaps away a takedown attempt from Kowalsky, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Kowalsky throws a sloppy head kick and Butt moves out of range easily.
Butt shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kowalsky as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tito Butt. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Kowalsky darts in and clinches Butt up against the cage.
Butt has had enough of the clinch but Kowalsky keeps him there for the moment.
Butt tries to throw a body punch but Kowalsky avoids it by throwing Butt back against the cage.
Butt fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Butt tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kowalsky just stands there and leans against the cage.
Kowalsky lands a right hand.

Kowalsky escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A combination from Kowalsky does no damage.
Butt looks for the body kick but Kowalsky saw that one coming.
Nice takedown defense from Kowalsky. No joy for Butt on that attempt.

Kowalsky displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Butt.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Kowalsky is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Butt pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Butt has had enough of the clinch but Kowalsky keeps him there for the moment.
Butt jumps guard but Kowalsky stands there with Butt around his waist. Butt gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Kowalsky breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Kowalsky closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Butt to the mat! Butt manages to get full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Butt pulls Kowalsky in close to prevent any damage.
Butt trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Kowalsky really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Butt. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Butt has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Kowalsky closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Kowalsky manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Kowalsky wants to stand up but Butt is controlling him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Butt wants to control from the top but Kowalsky keeps moving.

Kowalsky stands up and waves to Butt to follow him.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kowalsky accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Kowalsky blocks a head kick by Butt.
Kowalsky defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Butt.
Kowalsky throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Butt drives through with a takedown into guard.
Butt passes into half guard.
Kowalsky pushes Butt off looking to stand but Butt dives back in and keeps control.

Butt stalling away here and it's allowed Kowalsky to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Butt throws a front kick aimed at Kowalsky's knee but Kowalsky avoids it well.
Butt closes the distance but Kowalsky moves to the side

and Kowalsky counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Butt is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Butt is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Butt has Kowalsky pulled in close to control his posture.
Kowalsky must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Kowalsky is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Butt is just riding it out for now. Kowalsky eventually gives up the hold.

Czeslaw Kowalsky showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Butt throws a body kick that misses.
Kowalsky shoots in but no luck this time.

Butt scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Kowalsky managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Butt.
Kowalsky is looking to regain half guard here but Butt keeps moving and retains side control.
Kowalsky is letting Butt control him for a moment.
Kowalsky can't do much from the bottom here.
Butt misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Kowalsky takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Butt decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Kowalsky cracks Butt with a right hand to the side of the head.
Tito Butt is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Butt tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kowalsky paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Butt shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kowalsky but Kowalsky pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Butt misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Kowalsky avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kowalsky shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Butt defends it nicely.

Butt lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Kowalsky backs up against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kowalsky shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Butt as he avoids it easily.

I think Kowalsky has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
