Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sean Mantis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tule Kanaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kanaka.
Kanaka fails in his attempt to clinch.

Kanaka shoots in for a takedown but Mantis shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Sean Mantis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tule Kanaka.

Kanaka has taken the fight to the clinch.

Mantis has Kanaka pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Mantis pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Kanaka tumbling to the mat - Mantis dives into Kanaka's guard.

Kanaka has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mantis can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Kanaka can't keep his opponent in guard - Mantis advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Mantis stands up out of the half guard.

Kanaka avoids the head kick by Mantis.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Mantis.

Mantis shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kanaka's guard.

Kanaka looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Mantis has picked Kanaka up and slammed him! Kanaka can't keep hold of the triangle and Mantis manages to pass to side control!
Mantis lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Kanaka down.
Kanaka wants to get back to his feet but Mantis is dominant here and he's now got Kanaka's back!
Kanaka looks gassed!
Kanaka breaks Mantis's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Mantis is on top in guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kanaka tries to improve position but can't.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Mantis just content to control the position.
Kanaka tries to contro but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
Kanaka wants to hold on but Mantis pushes him away.
Mantis breaks from Kanaka's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Kanaka has given up his back here.
Mantis controlling well, preventing Kanaka from escaping the position.

Mantis is cranking Kanaka's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Kanaka! He's tightened the choke and Kanaka is tapping out!
