Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Duke Nukem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and BurgerMeister MeisterBurger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nukem comes to the cage accompanied by Head Crusher by Megadeth. MeisterBurger has chosen break stuff as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MeisterBurger fails with the takedown.
Nukem throws a quick inside leg kick.
Nice takedown defense from Nukem. No joy for MeisterBurger on that attempt.
MeisterBurger has a takedown stuffed.
Duke Nukem has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of BurgerMeister MeisterBurger.

MeisterBurger darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Nukem wants to improve his position but MeisterBurger is controlling well.
MeisterBurger throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
MeisterBurger thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Nukem is trying to maintain the position but MeisterBurger is very close to passing his half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
MeisterBurger throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Nukem tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
MeisterBurger dives in and grabs Nukem's left leg, looking for a takedown. Nukem pushes down on MeisterBurger's head and hops out.
MeisterBurger looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Nukem bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps MeisterBurger's head backwards.

It looks like BurgerMeister MeisterBurger has been cut.
Nice sprawl there from Nukem as MeisterBurger shoots in.
Nukem misses with a double jab.
Nukem misses with a looping right.
MeisterBurger fails to land the takedown.
MeisterBurger closes this distance looking for a takedown but Nukem circles away.

Nukem feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends MeisterBurger sprawling to the canvas! MeisterBurger rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Nukem finish him?!
MeisterBurger looks gassed!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nukem feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to MeisterBurger's calf.

No joy there for Nukem, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Nukem stuffs the takedown.

Nukem has managed to clinch.
Nukem throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
A knee to the head by Nukem.

That has opened up BurgerMeister MeisterBurger's cut even more.
Nukem crunches a lovely knee into MeisterBurger's ribcage.
Nukem lands a hook that snaps the head of MeisterBurger backwards.
MeisterBurger takes a knee right on the jaw!
Nukem looking to stall.
Nukem tries a knee to the head but MeisterBurger blocks it.
MeisterBurger goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

MeisterBurger jumps into guard, dragging Nukem to the mat.
Nukem slips nicely into half guard.
Nukem scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if MeisterBurger can do anything to dispel that myth.

Nukem wants to control but MeisterBurger is keeping him busy.
Nukem working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
MeisterBurger wants to improve his position but Nukem is controlling well.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Nukem prevents MeisterBurger from getting back to his feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Nukem misses with a hook. MeisterBurger ducked under it nicely.

MeisterBurger feints and as Nukem raises his hands in defense, MeisterBurger changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

MeisterBurger postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Nukem stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Nukem wants it to stay on the feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from MeisterBurger.
MeisterBurger takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Nukem scores with a leg kick.
Nukem wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nukem lands with a big right hook that stumbles MeisterBurger - he's out on his feet here! Nukem follows up with another monster hook that separates MeisterBurger from consciousness! MeisterBurger falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Nukem stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
