The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yuuki Gou and Yasuomi Hirokawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kanta tries to close the distance and clinch but Yoma swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kanta tries to clinch but Yoma moves out of range.
Yoma avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kanta displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Yoma throws out the jab.
Yoma fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
No joy there for Yoma, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Shiro Yoma seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Yoma misses with a double jab.

Yoma has Kanta up against the cage in a clinch.
Kanta tries for a takedown but Yoma manages to get underhooks.
Kanta wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Yoma has him pressed against the cage.
Kanta missing with knees to the body.
Kanta tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Kanta wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Kanta jumps guard but Yoma stands there with Kanta around his waist. Kanta gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yu Kanta. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Yoma's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Yoma throws a big shot that misses.
Kanta circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Yoma drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Kanta follows Yoma to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
