Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randsome Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Frank Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Randsome Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Leandro Rodrigues and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gracie looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Silva tries to move to mount but Gracie blocks the move with his legs.
Gracie wants to control but Silva postures up.
Gracie holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.
Silva tries to advance to mount but Gracie denies him.

Silva tries for a kimura but Gracie is defending well.
Gracie is looking to reverse the position.
Silva tries to move to mount but Gracie blocks the move with his legs.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Gracie bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Gracie looks gassed!
Silva is looking to regain half guard here but Gracie keeps moving and retains side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Silva gets back to half guard.
Silva is trying to get back to full guard.
Gracie missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Silva is looking to improve his position.

Silva actively working from the bottom here.
Silva has a hand on Gracie's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Gracie takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Gracie manages to capitalize on a mistake by Silva to take his back!
Silva is trying to break free.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Silva wants to escape the position.
Silva rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Silva wants to get back to full guard.
Silva moves into full guard.
Gracie preventing the sweep.
Gracie in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Gracie slips nicely into half guard.
Silva wants to improve his position but Gracie is controlling well.

Gracie is working for a submission of some sort.
Silva is looking to improve his position.
Silva is working hard here to advance position.

Silva is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Gracie pulls his head out easily.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Silva slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Gracie preventing the sweep.
Silva keeping moving, preventing Gracie from controlling successfully.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Silva shoots and misses

and Gracie counters with a takedown into side control.

Gracie working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Silva tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Silva sneaks back into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Randsome Gracie dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Gracie fails with the takedown

and Silva counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Gracie's guard now.

Silva thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Frank Silva overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Silva drops back looking for a leg! Gracie is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gracie manages to kick Silva off! Silva jumps back into Gracie's guard.
Silva has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Silva postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Gracie is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Silva, into his guard.
Silva looking for a sweep. Not yet Silva, not yet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Gracie is looking to work some ground and pound but Silva has wrist control.
Gracie wants to pass the guard but Silva is keeping the position.
Silva tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Silva wants to hit a switch here but Gracie passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Silva there!

Silva tries to improve his position but instead Gracie has taken his back!
I would not like to be Silva right now.

Gracie has managed to slip his arm under Silva's chin. This could be all over... yep, Silva is tapping out! Submission win for Gracie.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Randsome Gracie!
