Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hiro Kobayashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nathan Jessup (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nathan Jessup!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Jorge Garcia and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jessup.

Kobayashi shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Kobayashi stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Jessup doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Kobayashi connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Kobayashi throws a combination. Jessup tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Kobayashi misses with a series of wild punches.
Jessup takes a jab right on the kisser.

Kobayashi lands with an uppercut that bounces Jessup off the cage and back into rage.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Kobayashi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jessup swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Jessup tries to move into range but Kobayashi moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Jessup is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Kobayashi.

Hiro Kobayashi dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Jessup is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Kobayashi scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

The fighters circle momentarily. Kobayashi darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Jessup is trying desperately to land a takedown but Kobayashi is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Jessup.

Kobayashi goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

and Kobayashi counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jessup!
Nathan Jessup has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
