The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Muggerud slaps away a takedown attempt from Richards, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Richards will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Muggerud up against the cage.

Richards pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Muggerud is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Muggerud rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Richards moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Richards looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Richards tries to score a power double leg takedown but Muggerud sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Richards somewhat.
Muggerud lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Muggerud.
Muggerud connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Richards tumbling to the canvas! Muggerud pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Richards was done - good stoppage!
