Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zypher Verbatim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Stryker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Verbatim looks to land a left hand but Stryker moved out of range nicely.
Stryker listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Verbatim shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Stryker but Stryker pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Stryker shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Verbatim decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Stryker's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Verbatim is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Verbatim won't allow Stryker to sweep him here.
Stryker not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Verbatim slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Verbatim stands and throws Stryker's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Verbatim prevents Stryker from escaping the position.

Verbatim lands an elbow.
Verbatim decides to stand up, so the ref orders Stryker to his feet.
Verbatim feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Stryker manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Verbatim manages to get himself to full guard.

Verbatim wants to control the position but Stryker says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Verbatim kicks Stryker off and gets back to his feet.
Stryker misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Verbatim fails with the takedown
and Stryker counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Stryker swats away the attempt to clinch by Verbatim.
Stryker throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Verbatim counters with a shoot takedown. Stryker fights it but they end up in guard.

Stryker is looking to stand up but Verbatim isn't so interested in that idea.

Verbatim is landing with some decent strikes but Stryker is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
