Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nintendo Takada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Stack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stack has chosen Deer Dance as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nintendo Takada!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dan Stack!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Fujiwara and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takada misses the shot to the body.
Takada moves out of range of the strikes.
Takada scores with a crisp jab that stopped Stack in his tracks.
Takada works Stack's body with a nice hook.
Takada throws a shot from downtown. Stack moves away and avoids it.
Takada throws a jab when Stack was well out of range.
Stack takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Takada throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Takada looks to land a left hand but Stack moved out of range nicely.
Stack ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Takada moves away.

Stack throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Takada was covering up waiting for the punch and Stack finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stack trying to control the position from guard on top but Takada is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Stack looking to sit in guard and control but Takada gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Takada has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Stack is proving hard to escape from.
Takada postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Stack utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Stack is trying to keep Takada in close.
Takada loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Stack is trying to control the position but Takada postures up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Takada throws a looping overhand right but Stack ducks down to avoid it.
Takada misses with a head kick.

and Stack counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Stack working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

The fighters are battling for position here. Takada manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Takada has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Stack wants to control from the top but Takada keeps moving.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Takada throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Stack escapes and throws Takada's legs to the side, diving into side control!
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Stack misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Takada takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Stack is looking to take a break and control but Takada is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dan Stack dominated that round.

Takada changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Takada misses with a looping left.
Takada misses the body punch
and Stack counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Stack shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Takada's guard.
Takada is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Takada is trying to keep Stack in close.
Stack working some strikes from top position.

Takada looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Stack throwing strikes but missing.

Stack wants to control from the top but Takada keeps moving.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Stack throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Takada works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Stack tries to free his leg and advance position but Takada is retaining full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Takada lands a slapping body shot.
Nintendo Takada seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stack swings away with a body shot that misses
and Takada connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Stack throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Takada sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Takada misses with a body punch
and Stack cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Takada throws a predictable looking body shot

and Stack counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Stack.
Stack throws a strike but Takada rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Takada trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Takada works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Takada thows a huge punch but Stack dodges it nicely.

Stack is pressing down on Takada's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stack looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Takada trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Takada trying to control but Stack is working from the bottom.
Stack has his hands on Takada's head, controlling the position.
Let's hope that Stack has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Takadais looking to pass into half guard but Stack pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Stack is in guard.

Dan Stack showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Stack takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
No joy there for Stack, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Takada misses with a hook to the body

and Stack counters with a takedown into side control.
Stack throwing strikes but Takada manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

Takada is trying to work for a kimura but Stack is defending well.
Stack gets back to full guard.
Stack looking for a sweep. Not yet Stack, not yet.

Takada is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Takada is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Stack wants to sweep but no luck.
Takada throws a strike but Stack rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Takada is looking for a triangle here but Stack uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Stack moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Stack wants to sweep here but Takada controlling him for the moment.
Stack is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Dan Stack comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Stack winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
