Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between David Peraza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Omar Hernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). David Peraza has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, David Peraza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Omar Hernandez!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Colin Fotheringham and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peraza stuffs the takedown attempt from Hernandez. Hernandez gets slowly back to his feet.

Hernandez has taken the fight to the clinch.

Hernandez has clasped his hands together around Peraza's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Peraza is trying to get back to half guard.
Peraza really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Hernandez tries to advance to mount but can't.
Hernandez is looking to take a break and control but Peraza is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Hernandez decides to stand up, so the ref orders Peraza to his feet.

and Hernandez counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

and Hernandez counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Hernandez.

Hernandez's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Peraza shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Peraza. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A telegraphed right hand from Hernandez misses the target.

and Hernandez counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Hernandez looks gassed!

Peraza looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hernandez is one step ahead there.
Peraza wants to hit a switch here but Hernandez passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Peraza there!
Hernandez takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Peraza swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Peraza is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Peraza tries to control Hernandez's body but Hernandez pushes him off. Peraza squirms to his side and now Hernandez has his back!
Peraza is trapped and Hernandez is scoring with shots to the head and body.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Hernandez is not going to allow Peraza to sit and survive in this position.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Hernandez controlling the positon.
Hernandez lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Peraza.
Peraza tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hernandez has a takedown stuffed.
Peraza works over Hernandez's head and body with a nice combination.
Peraza wants to clinch but Hernandez slips to the side

and Hernandez counters by clinching up.
Hernandez tries to pull guard but Peraza holds him up against the cage and eventually Hernandez drops back down to his feet.
Hernandez tries for a takedown but Peraza manages to get underhooks.
David Peraza has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Omar Hernandez.

Hernandez is pressing down on Peraza's thigh, looking to free his foot. Peraza is holding on for now.
Peraza is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Peraza tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Peraza has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hernandez is working away from the top position though.
Hernandez is trying to control the action in half guard but Peraza is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Peraza shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hernandez as he jumps to the side.
Peraza looks for the body kick but Hernandez saw that one coming.
Hernandez displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Peraza.
Peraza tries to clinch but Hernandez moves away

and Hernandez counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hernandez wants to pass the guard but Peraza is keeping the position.
Omar Hernandez has got the better of the ground game so far.
Peraza trying to keep a closed guard but Hernandez is proving a slippery customer.

Hernandez has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Peraza is proving hard to escape from.

Peraza is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Hernandez moves into the clinch successfully.
Hernandez drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Peraza gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Hernandez managing to block the knees to the body from Peraza.
Hernandez jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Peraza walks away with a smile on his face. Hernandez gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Hernandez decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Peraza's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Omar Hernandez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

and Hernandez counters with a three punch combo that has Peraza backing up. Peraza nods at Hernandez to acknowledge the strikes.

Peraza might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Hernandez won't allow Peraza to sweep him here.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Hernandez feints and as Peraza raises his hands in defense, Hernandez changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Peraza manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hernandez manages to get himself to full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Peraza tries to hold on but Hernandez pushes him away.

Peraza is squirming around, avoiding Hernandez's attempts to control the action.

Hernandez is working for a guillotine from mount but Peraza frees his head quite easily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Omar Hernandez comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Hernandez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
