Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robert Drysdale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Junior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). David Junior will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Robert Drysdale!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Junior!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Junior works Drysdale's body with a nice hook.
Junior throws a series of punches but Drysdale moves out of range.

Drysdale closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Drysdale lands in his opponent's guard.

Junior wants to get back to his feet but Drysdale is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Drysdale will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Junior wants to stand and escape but Drysdale is having none of it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Drysdale passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Junior!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Junior can do anything to dispel that myth.
Drysdale is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Junior can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Drysdale fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Junior is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Drysdale shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Junior as he jumps to the side.
Drysdale tries to land a leg kick but Junior saw it coming and moves away.
Danga de danga de dang - Junior scores with a four punch combination!
Junior bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Junior drops Drysdale with a beautiful combination! Drysdale stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Junior is looking for the KO!


Drysdale is rocked!
Robert Drysdale is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Junior drops Drysdale with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Drysdale! Junior dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (strikes). David Junior!
