Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jon Hardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quinton Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hardy comes to the cage accompanied by Megadeth - Symphony of Destruction. Jon Hardy has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Silva looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Silva fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hardy sprawls well initially but Silva persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Silva goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Hardy turns into him and now he's in Silva's guard.
Silva wants to get back to his feet but Hardy is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Silva accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Silva misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Hardy drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Hardy drops back, looking for a kneebar! Silva looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Silva looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Silva!

Silva decides to stand back up. Silva steps back and let's Hardy get back to his feet.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hardy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Silva gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Silva wants to stand and escape but instead Hardy has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Hardy drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Silva dives on top into guard.

Silva seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Hardy is looking for a sweep. Silva is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Silva lands a nice short elbow.

Jon Hardy has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Silva throws a strike but Hardy avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Hardy throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Silva escapes and throws Hardy's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Silva wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hardy keeps working.

Well Silva has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
