Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jiro Kikaida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Rock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as The Rock enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Jiro Kikaida!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, The Rock!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Hirohito Nitta and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kikaida shoots for a takedown but Rock saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Kikaida looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Rock is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kikaida's half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Rock in particular looking to stall.
Rock stalling away here and it's allowed Kikaida to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Rock really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kikaida. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Rock throws a strike but Kikaida rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

and Kikaida decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rock's guard.

Rock is stalling here. Kikaida is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Rock seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Kikaida has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
