Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pumba Ottavainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harjan Varsi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Varsi has chosen Hiski Salomaa - Tiskarin polkka as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Shimada and Yuuki Gou.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Varsi lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Varsi will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Good shot there by Ottavainen.
Varsi lands a nice hook to Ottavainen's body. Ottavainen takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

A solid leg kick lands there for Ottavainen.

Varsi is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Pumba Ottavainen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Varsi lands a brutal uppercut that launches Ottavainen off his feet! Ottavainen tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
