Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between River Walken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Clark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). River Walken has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, River Walken!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Andre Clark!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Aafke Stam and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walken tries to close the distance and clinch but Clark swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Clark displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Walken.
Clark fails to land with a series of punches.
Walken moves in looking to clinch but Clark pushes him off.
Walken wants to clinch up but Clark keeps it at a distance.

Walken instigates a clinch.
The referee is keeping an eye on Clark - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Walken blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Clark working aggressively here.
Clark avoiding damage as Walken throws knees to the body.
Clark struggles to land a body shot inside as Walken controls his hands.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Clark lands a nice shot to the body.
Walken looking for a takedown.
Clark has had enough of the clinch but Walken keeps him there for the moment.
Clark wants a takedown but no success here.
Walken tries to pull guard but Clark won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for River Walken. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Clark has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Clark doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Clark just leaning against Walken, taking a breather.
A frustrated look appears on Clark's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Walken jumps guard but Clark stands there with Walken around his waist. Walken gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Clark tries to circle away but Walken has him pinned against the cage.

Clark has clasped his hands together around Walken's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Walken can't do much from the bottom here.
Walken tries to improve position but can't.

Clark goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Walken has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Clark but great work by Walken.

Walken wants to control but Clark is keeping him busy.

Clark is trying to improve his position.
Walken is looking to take a break and control but Clark is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Walken stands up and we're back to a striking position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Walken drives through with a takedown into guard.
Clark keeping moving, preventing Walken from controlling successfully.
Clark really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Walken. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Clark working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Walken doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Walken manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Walken wants to control from the top but Clark keeps moving.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Walken controls from within his opponent's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Clark can do anything to dispel that myth.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Walken trying to control the position from guard on top but Clark is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that River Walken will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Walken moves in looking to clinch but Clark pushes him off.
Clark tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Walken swivels and escapes.
River Walken is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Clark avoids the head kick by Walken.
Walken turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Clark closes the distance looking to clinch
and Walken counters with a head kick. That will keep Clark thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

and Walken decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Clark's guard.
Walken slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Walken trying to control the position from guard on top but Clark is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee stands the fighters back up. River Walken just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Clark tries to clinch but Walken moves away
and Walken counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Walken instigates a clinch.
Clark misses with a short punch on the inside.
Clark tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Walken's elbow.
Walken creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Clark's defenses.
Walken tries for a takedown. No joy.

Clark is fighting off a takedown attempt but Walken is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Clark to the mat. Clark regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Walken slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Walken wants to control from the top but Clark keeps moving.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Clark trying to keep a closed guard but Walken is proving a slippery customer.
Walken is looking to stand up but Clark won't let him.
Walken will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Clark moves into the clinch.

Clark breaks from the clinch.
Walken fails with an attempt to clinch.
Walken doesn't manage to clinch there - Clark circles away.

Walken gets a takedown into half guard.
Clark is not content to let Walken control the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Clark is trying to control but can't.
Walken uses his free foot to push down on Clark's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Clark.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Clark is in all sorts of trouble here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

River Walken dominated that second round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!



Walken fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Clark sprawls well initially but Walken persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Walken is looking to take a break and control but Clark is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Clark is looking to control Walken's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Clark avoid being mounted?
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Walken is taking a breather. Clark says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Walken wants to control but Clark is keeping him busy.

Walken is working for a kimura but Clark is defending it quite comfortably.

Clark is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Clark tries for a takedown but Walken circles away easily

and Walken counters with a nice double leg into side control. Clark won't be happy with that.
Walken takes a little break here. Clark wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Clark is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
I wouldn't like to be where Clark is right now.
Walken advances to full mount.
Clark is wriggling around trying to escape.

Walken with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Clark looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
I really don't envy Clark right now.
River Walken is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Clark is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Walken.

Andre Clark has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

And that's the end of the fight!
River Walken showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Walken, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
