The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blanks changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wink tries to avoid it but Blanks manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wink to the ground. Wink escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Blanks shoots in for a takedown but Wink shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Wink wants to clinch up but Blanks keeps it at a distance.

Blanks closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Wink had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Blanks is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Wink Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Blanks's back instead.
