Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Robert Henry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and john bloggsss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henry shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has bloggsss pinned against the cage. bloggsss gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
bloggsss misses with a body kick.
Henry looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
bloggsss doesn't manage to clinch there - Henry circles away.

and Henry counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for bloggsss!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if bloggsss can do anything to dispel that myth.

Henry is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. bloggsss can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Henry has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Henry is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but bloggsss is surviving well by controlling Henry's body position as best he can.

bloggsss tries to lock up and control but Henry gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
bloggsss swings for the body but Henry moves out of range.

and Henry decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in bloggsss's guard.

Henry is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

bloggsss has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
bloggsss is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Henry working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
bloggsss really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Henry. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and bloggsss makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

bloggsss keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

and Henry counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
bloggsss wants to stand but Henry is controlling the position.
Henry throws a big right hand that misses.
bloggsss keeping moving, preventing Henry from controlling successfully.
Henry postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
bloggsss is breathing heavily.
Henry forces his way into half guard.

Henry is trying to work for a kimura but bloggsss is defending well.
Robert Henry overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Henry is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
bloggsss is bucking up trying to escape but Henry cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
bloggsss has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Henry is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. bloggsss defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
bloggsss is trying to break free.

Henry is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften bloggsss up.
bloggsss takes a big shot to the side of the head.
Henry lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Henry.
Henry scores with punches and elbows.

Henry is cranking bloggsss's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for bloggsss! He's tightened the choke and bloggsss is tapping out!
