The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Doe fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rubber sprawls well initially but Doe persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Doe wants to stand up but Rubber is controlling the position.
Doe throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Doe throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Rubber is holding on to half guard well.
Rubber works his way to full guard. Good work.
Doe with a flurry of punches that miss.
Doe throws and elbow that misses. Rubber uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Doe's guard. Nice move by Rubber!
Rubber wants to pass the guard but Doe is keeping the position.
Doe bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rubber's guard.
Rubber trying to keep a closed guard but Doe is proving a slippery customer.
Rubber might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Doe accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Doe is working Rubber over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Doe throws a big right hand that misses.
Doe won't allow Rubber to sweep him here.
Doe tries to free his leg and advance position but Rubber is retaining full guard.

Doe has gone for a leg lock! Rubber slips out almost immediately though and dives into Doe's guard.

Rubber thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Doe is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Rubber is controlling him.
Rubber slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Doe stops Rubber from passing to mount.
Rubber is working hard here to advance position.
Doe is looking for a sweep.
Doe manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Rubber wants to control but Doe is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Doe thows a big elbow that misses.

Doe would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Rubber has his foot on Doe's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Doe works his way back into a safe position though.
Rubber is breathing heavily.
Doe wants to get up but he can't break Rubber's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Doe throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Rubber has a closed guard, preventing Doe from standing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rubber is trying to control the position but Doe postures up.

and Rubber counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Rubber won't allow Doe to get back to his feet.

Rubber drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Rubber as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Doe screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Rubber! Nice submission victory there!
