PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Kronic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Beez Kneez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Beez Kneez!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kneez shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kronic is trying to defend but Kneez finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Kneez wants to stand up but Kronic is controlling the position.
Kronic is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kneez's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kneez's back!
Kneez covering up well and avoiding damage.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

That's time! Kronic's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Kneez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kronic swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Kneez closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Kronic manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kneez manages to get himself to full guard.
Kronic postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Kneez wants to clinch up but Kronic keeps it at a distance.

Kneez shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kronic napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Kronic is trying to control Kneez's posture but Kneez avoids it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kronic is looking for a sweep.
Kronic can't do much from the bottom here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kronic is looking to regain half guard here but Kneez keeps moving and retains side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Beez Kneez will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Kneez slaps away a takedown attempt from Kronic, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Kneez moves in looking to clinch but Kronic pushes him off.
Kronic throws a body punch but Kneez moves out of range.

Kneez feints and as Kronic raises his hands in defense, Kneez changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Jack Kronic overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Kneez must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Kronic might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Kneez takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Kronic has his foot on Kneez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kneez works his way back into a safe position though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
You can see the frustration on Kronic's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Kronic is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Kneez!

Kronic lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

I think Kronic has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
