Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Javier Noriega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mario Guida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Javier Noriega!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mario Guida!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Alexandre Firmino and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guida tries to clinch up.
Noriega misses with a series of wild punches.
Noriega misses with a body shot.
Noriega avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Noriega scores with a three punch combo!
Noriega connects with a good right hand that stumbles Guida. Guida circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Noriega lands a jab to the head.
Noriega punishes Guida's body with a nice straight punch.
Guida lands a two punch combo.
Guida falls off balance throwing a combination
and Noriega counters with a series of strikes. Guida will be more careful next time no doubt.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Guida.
Noriega blocks the body kick.
Guida fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Noriega.
Noriega connects with a crisp jab.
Guida moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Guida throws a head kick that misses
and Noriega makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Guida doesn't manage to clinch there - Noriega circles away.
Guida darts in trying to clinch
and Noriega counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Guida thinking.

and Noriega counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Noriega throws a shot to the body.
Noriega swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Guida counters with an outside leg kick.
Noriega lands with a thumping leg kick.
Noriega takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Guida throws a nice head kick!
Noriega lands a with a good body shot.
Guida looks gassed!
Guida takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Noriega feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Noriega thows a big elbow that misses.
Noriega passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Noriega trying to control the action but Guida is working from the bottom.

Guida tries to escape but Noriega is in control.
Noriega is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Guida is trying to escape and Noriega transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Guida is forced to tap! Nice work there by Noriega! Very nice indeed!
