The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDonald blocks a head kick by Hernandez.

Hernandez drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but McDonald manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Hernandez has McDonald in his guard.
McDonald has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Hernandez is proving hard to escape from.
McDonald must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
McDonald stays in close to Hernandez's body and controls the position.

McDonald cracks Hernandez with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. McDonald has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Hernandez to stand back up!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hernandez feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to McDonald's calf.
McDonald fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Hernandez out cold! Brutal finish!
