Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Ung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and ben harrier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). ben harrier will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kevin Ung!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, ben harrier!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Mauricio Rocha and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
harrier fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
harrier throws a jab but it's blocked by Ung.
Ung takes a swing at harrier's ribcage but misses.
ben harrier seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
harrier shoots for a double leg takedown but Ung sprawls well. He's pushed harrier's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Ung slaps away a takedown attempt from harrier, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Kevin Ung has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of ben harrier.
harrier is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ung sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Ung fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. harrier sprawls well initially but Ung persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Ung slows the pace down in half guard.
harrier pushes Ung off looking to stand but Ung dives back in and keeps control.
harrier has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ung is working away from the top position though.

Ung's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
harrier should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
harrier throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Ung controlling the action here.
harrier wants to control but Ung is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Ung looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
harrier on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Ung not doing much here.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Kevin Ung just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
harrier doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Ung counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Ung.

Ung looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
harrier wants to stand and escape but Ung is having none of it.
Ung might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Ung stays in close to harrier's body and controls the position.

harrier is looking for a triangle but Ung pushes his legs off easily.

You can see the frustration on harrier's face as Ung controls the position.
harrier is looking for a sweep.
Ung lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear harrier down.

harrier is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
harrier is breathing heavily.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Ung looks up at the clock and then as harrier takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Ung smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Ung is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, harrier has escaped the position, nice work there.

Ung is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt harrier will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
harrier pushes Ung away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Ung gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Kevin Ung overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Ung thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
harrier can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ung controls the pace.

Ung shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Ung was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



Ung shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ung showed some decent athleticism there.

harrier tries to kick Ung off but Ung keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Ung in particular looking to stall.
harrier takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Ung seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down harrier for as long as he can get away with.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
harrier wants to control but Ung is keeping busy.
harrier is trying to get back to full guard.

and Ung counters with a shoot takedown. harrier fights it but they end up in guard.

Ung shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in harrier's guard.
Ung is standing up over harrier. harrier looks to escape but Ung dives into side control.

Well Ung has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
