And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valenzuela connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

It looks like Jack Gentleman has been cut.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Gentleman checks a leg kick.
Gentleman is looking to clinch.
Gentleman is looking to clinch but Valenzuela is avoiding it.
Valenzuela misses with a low kick.
A punch combination from Valenzuela misses.
Valenzuela uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gentleman.
Gentleman fails with an attempt to clinch.
Valenzuela misses with a looping left.
The fight stays on the outside here - Gentleman looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Valenzuela misses with a two punch combination.
Valenzuela cracks Gentleman with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gentleman moves out of range of the leg kick from Valenzuela.

Valenzuela drops Gentleman with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Gentleman looks back up at him and smiles so Valenzuela waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Gentleman is rocked!
Gentleman uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Valenzuela.
Gentleman throws a shot from downtown. Valenzuela moves away and avoids it.
Valenzuela circles away from the clinch attempt.
Valenzuela steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Gentleman.
Gentleman is looking to clinch but Valenzuela is avoiding it.
Valenzuela scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Gentleman looks gassed!

That has opened up Jack Gentleman's cut even more.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Valenzuela finds Gentleman's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Gentleman flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Valenzuela lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Gentleman will be OK.
