The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Rio lands with a kick to the temple. Hayes shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Hayes has De Rio pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Hayes pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending De Rio tumbling to the mat - Hayes dives into De Rio's guard.

Hayes seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down De Rio for as long as he can get away with.
