Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Geoff Ivoire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jared Kreegans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Geoff Ivoire!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jared Kreegans!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ivoire fails with an attempt to clinch.

Ivoire is looking to take a break and control but Kreegans is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Kreegans is trying to maintain the position but Ivoire is very close to passing his half guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Kreegans throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ivoire.
Kreegans shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ivoire sprawls well. Ivoire wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kreegans gets slowly back to his feet.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Ivoire fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
BOOM! Ivoire connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Kreegans tries to hold on but Ivoire pushes him away.

Ivoire is landing with some decent strikes but Kreegans is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Kreegans is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Kreegans postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Ivoire looks a forlorn figure.

Ivoire is desperately trying to improve his position but Kreegans has a good base and remains in mount.
Kreegans lands a nice shot to the head.
Kreegans prevents Ivoire from getting the reversal.

Kreegans is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Ivoire can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Ivoire knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kreegans on the ground.

Kreegans looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ivoire is fending him off so far but Kreegans persists. Nope, Ivoire circles away and we're back to standing.
Jared Kreegans seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ivoire changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kreegans tries to avoid it but Ivoire manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kreegans to the ground. Kreegans escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Ivoire closes the distance and clinches up with Kreegans, looking for a takedown. Ivoire pushes Kreegans against the cage but Kreegans circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

A frustrated look appears on Ivoire's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Ivoire keeps control of Kreegans as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Ivoire jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kreegans walks away with a smile on his face. Ivoire gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Kreegans has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Kreegans breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kreegans fails to land with a series of punches.

Ivoire looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Kreegans throws a series of punches but Ivoire moves out of range.
Nice sprawl there from Ivoire as Kreegans shoots in.
Kreegans stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kreegans wants it to stay on the feet.
Kreegans moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Kreegans working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ivoire doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ivoire manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Well Kreegans has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
