The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie shoots in looking for a takedown. Oneeye tries to sprawl out of it but Gracie keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Oneeye manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Oneeye shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gracie's guard.
Gracie has a closed guard, preventing Oneeye from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Oneeye stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gracie swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Gracie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Oneeye gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Oneeye decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Gracie, up you get!
Gracie lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Oneeye backs up against the cage.

Razi Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Oneeye connects with a right hand. Gracie shakes it off.
Oneeye throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

You can see the frustration on Gracie's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Oneeye's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Gracie drops back, looking for a kneebar! Oneeye looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Oneeye looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Oneeye!
