Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Choncho Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Fridge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rodriguez kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is haunted. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rodriguez instigates a clinch.
Fridge looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Rodriguez has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Fridge avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Rodriguez tries to move to mount but Fridge blocks the move with his legs.

Rodriguez takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Fridge throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rodriguez.

Rodriguez fails with the takedown.
Fridge tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Rodriguez holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Rodriguez manages to break the clinch.
Fridge fails in his attempt to clinch.
Rodriguez doesn't manage to clinch there - Fridge circles away.
Fridge ducks under a wild hook from Rodriguez.
Fridge lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Rodriguez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Fridge pinned against the cage. Fridge gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Choncho Rodriguez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rodriguez shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Fridge but Fridge pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Fridge really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rodriguez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fridge wants to get back to his feet.

Rodriguez gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rodriguez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Fridge swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Fridge lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Rodriguez fails to land the takedown.
Rodriguez misses with a takedown attempt - Fridge sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Fridge leaves Rodriguez with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Nice takedown defense from Fridge. No joy for Rodriguez on that attempt.

Fridge throws an overhand right that has Rodriguez reeling! Fridge follows up with more punches and Rodriguez is out cold! This one is all over!
