PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tore Bross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nishio Hiotaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Bross might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Straight Outta Compton. Nishio Hiotaki will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hiotaki moves in looking to clinch but Bross pushes him off.
Hiotaki shoots in but no luck this time.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Hiotaki checks a leg kick.
Hiotaki goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Hiotaki throws a head kick but Bross moves out of range.
Nishio Hiotaki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bross lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Hiotaki throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hiotaki throws a sloppy head kick and Bross moves out of range easily.
Hiotaki tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bross sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hiotaki somewhat.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hiotaki is defended easily by Bross.
Tore Bross has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nishio Hiotaki.
Hiotaki doesn't manage to clinch there - Bross circles away.

No joy there for Hiotaki, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Bross shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hiotaki's guard.

Bross is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hiotaki defends it well.

Bross is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hiotaki doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bross.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Hiotaki tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hiotaki is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bross is aware though and is defending well.

Bross drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Bross seems to have locked his on tight now - Hiotaki screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Bross, as he picks up the win!
