PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sin Kao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yodsanklai Fairtex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Yodsanklai Fairtex!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Radbod Blank and Daniel Blasius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fairtex tries to clinch there but Kao circles away.

Kao has managed to clinch.
Fairtex throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Kao escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Fairtex clinches but Kao breaks the clinch

and Kao counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kao.
Kao will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Fairtex can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kao controls the pace.
Kao thows a big elbow that misses.

Fairtex is working an open guard so Kao takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Fairtex closes the distance looking to clinch

and Kao moves into the clinch.

Kao's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Fairtex misses with a knee strike.
Kao connects with a nasty looking knee right to Fairtex's face.

Fairtex closes the distance but Kao moves to the side
and Kao counters with a head kick. That will keep Fairtex thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

That's one minute gone in the round.

Kao closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Kao decides to stand back up.
Fairtex wants to clinch

and Kao holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Kao connects with a nasty looking knee right to Fairtex's face.

Kao really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Kao breaks from the clinch.
Fairtex is still on wobbly legs! Can Kao finish him?
Kao seems to be stalking Fairtex here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Fairtex drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
