Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Moby Dick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Kaplan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kaplan has chosen Tenderness by General Public as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Dave Kaplan was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Steve Montenegro and John Kavanagh.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dick fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kaplan manages to avoid it.
Dick throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Dick gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kaplan to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Dick trying to strike off his back.
Kaplan throwing strikes but missing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kaplan is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dick pulls Kaplan in to control the position.
Kaplan works a leg free and moves into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kaplan wants to control but Dick is keeping him busy.
Dick trying to control from the bottom.
Kaplan wants to pass the guard but Dick is defending well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Dick trying to hold on to Kaplan's head to control him but Kaplan postures up.
Dick has hold of Kaplan's hands but Kaplan slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Dick is trying to escape back to his feet but Kaplan uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Dick tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dick just looking to survive in the bad position.

Kaplan is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Dick defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dick staying busy and making it hard for Kaplan to control.

Kaplan working for a choke but Dick is defending well.

Kaplan has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Dick has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dave Kaplan dominated that round.
That's time! Dick's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Kaplan fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Kaplan gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Kaplan tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dick swivels and escapes.
Kaplan defending well as Dick loads up on a big left hand.
Dick misses with an uppercut.
Dick scores with a jab to the head.

Dick cracks Kaplan with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Dick has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Kaplan to stand back up!

Kaplan is rocked!
Kaplan is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Dick doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Kaplan crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Kaplan's bad books for that mishap!
