Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mauricio Shogun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Valdez Olivera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shogun shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Olivera but Olivera pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Olivera misses with a looping left.
Olivera stuffs the takedown attempt from Shogun. Shogun gets slowly back to his feet.
Olivera avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Olivera throws a nice looking combination but Shogun bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Shogun wants to lay and pray for a moment but Olivera keeps working.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Shogun shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Olivera sprawls well. Olivera wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Shogun gets slowly back to his feet.

Valdez Olivera showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

A left and a right from Shogun both land. Nice combination.

Shogun wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Olivera has him pressed against the cage.

Olivera takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Olivera goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Shogun is on top in guard.
