The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Daniels closes the distance and clinches.
Daniels fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Tyson tries to get to full guard but Daniels has control of the leg.

Tyson is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Daniels tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Tyson wants to control from the top but Daniels keeps moving.

Tyson gets to his feet. Daniels looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Troy Tyson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Tyson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Daniels is trying to defend but Tyson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tyson seems to be looking for submissions.

Tyson escapes and gets back to his feet.
Tyson shoots in for a takedown but Daniels shows good takedown defense.
Tyson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Daniels.
Tyson is breathing heavily.

Tyson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Daniels is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Tyson has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Daniels is trying to keep an underhook but Tyson manages to get the takedown into half guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Tyson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Tyson has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Daniels defend it? Tyson steps over the head and cranks it - Daniels is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Tyson!
