The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Savage changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Savage throws a low kick but it's checked well by Filho.
Savage fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Filho manages to avoid it.
Savage tries to close the distance and clinch up but Filho swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Filho on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

It looks like Antonio Filho has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Savage has closed the distance and engaged Filho in a clinch.

Savage pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Savage scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Savage punishes Filho's body with a nice straight punch.
A left and a right from Savage both land. Nice combination.
Savage connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Filho's hands.
Filho is breathing heavily.
Savage lands a brutal uppercut that launches Filho off his feet! Filho tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
