Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Edson Mendes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wilson Rico (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mendes comes to the cage accompanied by Hard Hittaz by Three 6 Mafia. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rico ducks under a wild hook from Mendes.
Mendes steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Rico. That one must have hurt.
Rico throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mendes.
Mendes misses with a hook. Rico ducked under it nicely.
Rico throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rico misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rico displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Mendes throws out the jab.
Rico throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Mendes looks to land a right hand but Rico moved out of range.
Rico feints and then cracks Mendes's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Mendes down.
Mendes avoids the head kick by Rico.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Mendes throws an overhand right that lands on Rico's shoulder, as Rico tries to avoid the shot.
Rico pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A head kick from Rico lands but Mendes takes it in his stride.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rico fails to land with a series of punches.
Rico misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mendes misses with a looping right.
Mendes lands a jab to the nose.

It looks like Wilson Rico has been cut.

Rico tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Mendes throws a big shot that misses.
Rico fails to land with a series of punches.
Mendes takes one to the chin there.

Rico misses with a head kick.
Rico uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Mendes.
Mendes closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Rico! Mendes dives in looking to finish! Rico is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
