Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Viktor Lagutenko and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Collier clinches.
Collier stalls.
Collier jumps guard.
Collier has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ruslan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Collier escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ruslan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Collier should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ruslan trying to control the position from guard on top but Collier is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Ruslan is breathing heavily.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Collier has eaten all the pies!
Ruslan stopping the sweep attempt from Collier.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Ruslan gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Collier tries to free his leg and advance position but Ruslan is retaining full guard.
Ruslan keeping moving, preventing Collier from controlling successfully.

Collier wants to control from the top but Ruslan keeps moving.

Collier is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Collier wants to take a breather but Ruslan is having none of it.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Collier thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ruslan's head.
Collier is trying to control the action in half guard but Ruslan is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Collier tries to pass to full mount but Ruslan defends it.
Collier stands up and beckons Ruslan to join him on the feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Collier closes the distance and clinches.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Ruslan tries to close the distance and clinch but Collier swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Collier rushes Ruslan and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Ruslan is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Collier pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Collier has Ruslan pushed against the cage.
Collier gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Ruslan.
A bit of stalling here from Collier.
Collier manages to break the clinch.
Collier throws a right hand that Ruslan ducks under and follows up with a left that Ruslan also avoids with ease.
Collier closes the distance and pushes Ruslan back into the cage.
Ruslan is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Igor Ruslan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Collier gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Collier decides to stand and escape the position.
Ruslan gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Collier gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Ruslan with a poor takedown
and Collier counters with a nice double leg into side control. Ruslan won't be happy with that.

Collier wants to control but Ruslan is keeping him busy.
Collier throwing strikes but Ruslan manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
You can see the frustration on Collier's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Ruslan decides to stand back up. Ruslan steps back and let's Collier get back to his feet.

Ruslan is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ruslan doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Collier counters with a shoot takedown. Ruslan fights it but they end up in guard.
Collier wanted to stand there but Ruslan had control of the position.
Collier wants to control from the top but Ruslan keeps moving.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Collier decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Ruslan, up you get!

DJ Collier showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Collier looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Collier slips a nice elbow through Ruslan's hands, connecting with Ruslan's forehead.

Collier wants to control but Ruslan is keeping him busy.

Collier seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Collier seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ruslan does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Collier lands a nice short elbow.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Collier counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Collier tries to pass to full mount but Ruslan defends it.
Collier is looking to take a break and control but Ruslan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Collier is looking to pass Ruslan's guard but actually Ruslan recovers to full guard.
Igor Ruslan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
DJ Collier is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Collier passes Ruslan's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Well Collier has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
