Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Duane Dibbley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paulo Thiago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thiago has chosen Drake - Forever as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Duane Dibbley!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paulo Thiago!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shigeki Sano and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dibbley avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Duane Dibbley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Thiago.
Dibbley tries to close the distance and clinch up but Thiago swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Thiago throws an overhand right that lands on Dibbley's shoulder, as Dibbley tries to avoid the shot.
Dibbley tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Dibbley connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Thiago closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Dibbley wants to get back to full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Thiago throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Thiago seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dibbley does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Thiago is keen to just control but Dibbley is a slippery customer.

Thiago wants to control but Dibbley is keeping him busy.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Dibbley lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
No luck for Thiago with that takedown attempt.
Dibbley closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Dibbley lands in his opponent's guard.
Thiago is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Thiago is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dibbley is just riding it out for now. Thiago eventually gives up the hold.

Thiago has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dibbley can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Dibbley lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Dibbley lands with an uppercut that bounces Thiago off the cage and back into rage.

Thiago sneaks back into half guard.
Dibbley decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Dibbley tries to clinch but Thiago moves out of range.
Dibbley throws a low kick but it's checked well by Thiago.
Thiago walks into a straight right hand from Dibbley.
Dibbley lands with a nice body punch.
Dibbley looks to land a combination. Thiago sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Dibbley connects with a single shot there.
Thiago walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Dibbley's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Dibbley throws a series of punches but Thiago moves out of range.
Dibbley misses with a few strikes there.
Thiago throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Dibbley sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dibbley is defended easily by Thiago.
Dibbley lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Thiago takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Dibbley has a takedown stuffed.
Dibbley moves out of range as Thiago throws a body kick.
The fighters circling - Thiago throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Dibbley fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Thiago sprawls well initially but Dibbley persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Dibbley is taking a breather. Thiago says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Thiago is breathing heavily.

Dibbley tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Thiago.
Dibbley is looking to advance position but Thiago won't allow it.
Thiago is not content to let Dibbley control the position.
Dibbley knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Thiago on the ground.
Thiago makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Thiago.
Thiago controls Dibbley momentarily but Dibbley frees himself.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Thiago has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Dibbley is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Thiago.
Dibbley stands up.

Thiago is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Dibbley.
Thiago is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Duane Dibbley is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Dibbley shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Thiago napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Thiago struggling a bit here.
Dibbley decides to stand up, so the ref orders Thiago to his feet.
Dibbley drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Dibbley stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Thiago swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Thiago has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Thiago looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Dibbley is defending well. Thiago quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Dibbley has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Thiago celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
