Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ralph Gordon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kirk Hammett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hammett has chosen For Whom The Bell Tolls as his entrance music. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ralph Gordon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kirk Hammett!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Ren Mimura and Yasuomi Hirokawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Hammett, right into the meat.
Hammett circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hammett ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Gordon moves into the clinch.
Gordon looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Hammett is looking to control Gordon's arms but Gordon gets an underhook and turns him. Now Hammett has his back to the cage.

Gordon manages to break the clinch.
Hammett tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gordon swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Gordon keeps the fight on the outside.
Hammett misses with an uppercut.
Hammett has a takedown stuffed.
Hammett tries to clinch there but Gordon circles away.
Gordon ducks under a wild hook from Hammett.
Hammett throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Hammett shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Hammett is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Hammett is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Gordon defends it well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gordon wants to control but Hammett is keeping busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hammett throws a strike but Gordon avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Hammett is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Hammett trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Hammett is looking to work some ground and pound but Gordon has wrist control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Hammett drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hammett jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Gordon is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Gordon avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Hammett with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Gordon to score with a decent uppercut.

Gordon shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Gordon trying to control but Hammett is having none of it.

Gordon prevents Hammett from getting the reversal.
Hammett sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Hammett looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Gordon decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Nice takedown defense from Gordon. No joy for Hammett on that attempt.
Gordon is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hammett sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Gordon lunges at Hammett with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Hammett's hand.
A slow jab from Gordon misses its intended target.

Gordon throws a right and a left that both miss.
Hammett tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Gordon counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hammett's guard now.
Gordon is breathing heavily.
Gordon trying to control the position from guard on top but Hammett is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Hammett has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Gordon should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Hammett has tightened it up now! Gordon should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
