Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rick Rypien (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oleewae Osie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rypien's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, The Ripper. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are William Peck, Steve Smith and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Osie misses with a double jab.
Osie throws a right and a left that Rypien avoids nicely.
Osie throws a hook but Rypien blocks it.
Osie catches Rypien with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Osie takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Decent striking displayed by Rypien there.
It looks like Oleewae Osie has been cut.
A slow jab from Rypien misses its intended target.
Rypien scores with a jab to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rypien ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Osie moves away.
Rypien throws out a loose jab but Osie uses good head movement to avoid it.
Rypien swings for the body but Osie moves out of range.
Osie dives in and grabs Rypien's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rypien pushes down on Osie's head and hops out.
Osie looks gassed!
A jab from Osie misses.
Rypien jabs at Osie's body.
Rypien changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Rypien throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Rypien connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Osie momentarily.
A jab from Rypien misses.
Rypien cracks Osie with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Rypien has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Osie to stand back up!
Osie is rocked!
Osie drops his hands momentarily. Rypien doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Osie staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Osie doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Rick Rypien!
