The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Catic regains half guard.
Pedersen sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Catic defending well though.
Catic is trying to maintain the position but Pedersen is very close to passing his half guard.
Catic is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Pedersen is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Pedersen closes the distance and clinches up with Catic, looking for a takedown. Pedersen pushes Catic against the cage but Catic circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Pedersen lands with a hook. Catic tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Catic connects with a good right hand that stumbles Pedersen. Pedersen circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Pedersen needs to keep his hands up - Catic had a free shot at his head there.
Catic uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pedersen.
Catic throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Pedersen.
Catic lands with a big left! Pedersen is wobbled badly! Catic comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Pedersen to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
