The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lapierre shoots for a takedown but Van Damme saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Lapierre shoots in but Van Damme avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Lapierre is trying hard to land a takedown here. Van Damme sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Jean Claude Van Damme has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andre Lapierre.

Van Damme clinches with his opponent.
Lapierre goes for a takedown attempt but Van Damme pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Van Damme rushes Lapierre and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Van Damme drops down looking for an ankle pick but Lapierre pulls his leg out and moves away.
