Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Phobos Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pat Pong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Phobos Carter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pat Pong!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Reed Andrews and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pong displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Carter.
Pong tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Carter displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Pong throws out the jab.
Pong misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Carter shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pong pinned against the cage. Pong gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Carter shoots in looking for a takedown. Pong tries to sprawl out of it but Carter keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pong manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Phobos Carter. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Carter looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pong can do anything to dispel that myth.

Pat Pong is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Carter shoots in and drives through. Pong sprawls well.
Pong tries to close the distance and clinch up but Carter swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Carter shoots in but no luck this time.
Pong fails with an attempt to clinch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Carter decides to stand up.

Carter throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pong's waist but Pong gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Carter off to one side.
Carter misses with a takedown attempt - Pong sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Carter looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Pong throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Carter blocks it with crossed arms.
Carter has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Pong is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Carter shoots in but Pong avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Pong is working an open guard so Carter takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Phobos Carter dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Carter, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
