The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Molotov blocks a head kick by Tarabrin.

Molotov closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Molotov lands in his opponent's guard.
Molotov prevents Tarabrin from getting back to his feet.

Tarabrin is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Tarabrin manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Tarabrin is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Molotov can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Molotov avoids a strike by Tarabrin and manages to complete a very nice reversal in the process, to end up in Tarabrin's guard! Fantastic escape!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Tarabrin wants to get back to his feet but Molotov is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Molotov wants to control from the top but Tarabrin keeps moving.

Tarabrin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Alexander Tarabrin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Molotov shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Tarabrin napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Molotov advances nicely into full mount.

Molotov is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Tarabrin is forced to tap! Great finish!
