The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Almeida doesn't manage to clinch there - Devil circles away.
Devil misses with a body shot.
Devil misses with a few strikes there.
Almeida fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Almeida closes the distance and clinches.
Almeida connects with a knee to the head.
Almeida keeps control of Devil as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Devil prevents a takedown attempt there.
Almeida has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Devil is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Taz Devil has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anthony Almeida.
Devil tries to circle away but Almeida has him pinned against the cage.
Almeida using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Devil has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Almeida tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Devil swivels and escapes.

Almeida has closed the distance and engaged Devil in a clinch.
Devil has had enough of the clinch but Almeida keeps him there for the moment.

Devil wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Almeida has him pressed against the cage.
Almeida scores with a nice hook to the head.

Devil escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Devil lunges at Almeida with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Almeida's hand.
Almeida looks for a takedown but Devil sprawls well.

Almeida shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Devil but Devil pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Almeida takes a body punch but keeps moving.

letting Devil counter with a right hand.
