And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shirou Masuda and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
macka shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Plumper as he jumps to the side.

Plumper closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Plumper wants to pass to mount but macka is defending the position.

Plumper is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Well, if Plumper is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
macka is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Plumper is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so macka is just riding it out for now. Plumper eventually gives up the hold.
Plumper is pressing down on macka's thigh, looking to free his foot. macka is holding on for now.

macka is trying to get back to full guard.
Plumper not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Plumper is looking for a kimura here.
macka really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Plumper. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Plumper prevents macka from standing back up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Plumper drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Plumper is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. macka knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Plumper is breathing heavily.

Plumper tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Plumper has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Plumper wants to lay and pray for a moment but macka keeps working.
macka gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Plumper wants to free his trapped foot but macka is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Plumper has gone for a leg lock! macka slips out almost immediately though and dives into Plumper's guard.

Plumper could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Plumper is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! macka has his hands clasped together but Plumper extends an breaks macka's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Plumper.
