The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lewis ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Taylor moves away.
Lewis tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Taylor was well out of range. Poor timing from Lewis.
Lewis takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
No luck for Taylor with that takedown attempt.
Taylor misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Taylor is trying hard to land a takedown here. Lewis sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Taylor closes the distance and clinches up with Lewis, looking for a takedown. Taylor pushes Lewis against the cage but Lewis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Lewis looks to land a combination. Taylor sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Lewis lands a left and a right that send Taylor crashing to the mat, dazed. Lewis thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Jackson Taylor has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Lewis, as that shot connected.

Taylor is rocked!
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Taylor. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Taylor displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lewis throws out the jab.
Taylor shoots in but Lewis avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Lewis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Taylor manages to avoid it.
Lewis catches Taylor with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Bryan Lewis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lewis connects with a body shot.
Lewis throws a series of punches but Taylor moves out of range.

Nice straight punches there by Lewis. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Lewis.

Lewis lands a big right hand that sends Taylor crashing to the mat! Lewis stays standing though and waves Taylor back to his feet!
Oh Taylor is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lewis finds Taylor's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Taylor flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Lewis lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Taylor will be OK.
