The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brun drops his hands momentarily and Meadows takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Meadows loads up on a big right hand but Brun slips the punch.

Brun closes the distance and clinches.
Brun goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Meadows on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Meadows wants to break free but Brun has control.
Brun tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Meadows's elbow.
Brun tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Meadows smiles and moves away.
Brun tries to clinch up.
Hank Brun seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Brun clinches up with Meadows and pushes him back against the ropes.
A right handed body shot lands from Brun.
Brun throws a head punch that misses.
Brun doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Brun lands a shot to the body.
Meadows looks gassed!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Meadows has had enough of the clinch but Brun keeps him there for the moment.
Brun lands a hook that snaps the head of Meadows backwards.
Brun lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Meadows's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Meadows breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Brun rushes Meadows and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.

With the two fighters working up against the ropes, Brun just misses with a elbow thrown towards Meadows's brow.
Meadows avoids the elbow strike from Brun, against the ropes.
Brun misses with a knee to the head.
Meadows seems to have recovered his senses.
Brun lands a big knee! That's hurt Meadows! Oh, he's all over the place! Brun lands another knee that sends Meadows to the floor and the referee steps in to end the fight!
