The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch lands to the side of Parker 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Mikhailov jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Mikhailov misses with a wild combination.
Mikhailov rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Parker moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Parker feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Parker prevents Mikhailov from getting back to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Parker looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Mikhailov is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Parker has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Mikhailov has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.

Parker is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Mikhailov with him. Mikhailov is trying to defend but Parker has an arm under the chin now! Mikhailov grimaces and is forced to tap out!
