PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andy Wuzz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Berg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wuzz comes into the arena with Lützenkirchen - German Kiss blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Berg's choice of entrance music: Survivor - Eye Of The Tiger. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Andy Wuzz!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Alexander Berg!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Donald Grub and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wuzz throws a right hand that Berg ducks under and follows up with a left that Berg also avoids with ease.
Berg swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Wuzz counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Wuzz.
Wuzz closes the distance and clinches up with Berg, looking for a takedown. Wuzz pushes Berg against the ropes but Berg circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Wuzz counters with a nice double leg into side control. Berg won't be happy with that.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Wuzz goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Berg has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Wuzz but great work by Berg.

You can see the frustration on Wuzz's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Wuzz has hold of Berg's hands but Berg slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round but I would say that Andy Wuzz will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Berg misses the jab.
Berg throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Wuzz.
Wuzz is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Berg.

Wuzz tries to score a body lock takedown but Berg shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Oh Wuzz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Wuzz seems to have got his legs back now.

Wuzz seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Berg shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Wuzz is backing up but Berg catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Wuzz covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Berg Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alexander Berg!
